Mediation is a recognized alternative dispute resolution technique in which the mediator facilitates agreements between the parties.  It is a confidential process and the mediator does not legally represent either party in the mediation process, rather the mediator serves a neutral third party to assist the parties in evaluating their settlement options. The mediator does not have the authority to impose decisions on either parties and the mediator is not a substitute for legal advice.  If needed, a party to a mediation is free to seek legal advice with regards to their settlement options prior to making a decision.

Sharon Corsentino is an attorney and experienced mediator with extensive experience in complex property division and custody matters in divorce cases, custody modifications, and child support matters.  Sharon also has experience in contested probate and guardianship matters.

Sharon has an excellent settlement track record and is appointed by the courts to mediate cases as well as employed privately by attorneys and individuals to assist them with effectively resolving their contested family law matters.  Many of the local courts in Collin County, Dallas County, Tarrant County, Denton County and surrounding Texas counties are requiring the parties to go to mediation prior to having a final trial in their court. That’s a testament to the success of the mediation process.
